Fender Strat
Fender Stratocaster

I bought this guitar in the early 90's from my guitar teacher for about $250. It is a Made in Japan model from the early 80's. I replaced the stock pickups with Lace Sensors. Even with all of the guitars I have, this is still my main one.

I actually lost this once...on the way to a gig at Biggie's Place in Bucks County, PA. We had to use my dad's pickup truck and apparently we didn't do a great job of packing. We got to the bar and everything was there but my guitar. We started to panic, I took the truck and drove all the way home searching for it without any luck. The next day I went to the local newspaper and placed an ad in the lost and found with a reward. The next day I got a call from someone who found a guitar. Ironically, he called the newspaper to place a found ad shortly I placed my lost ad. Anyway, I met the guy and got the guitar back and he got 100 bucks, money I felt was well spent!

One more thing about this guitar, it does not have a tremolo bar installed.

OK, this truly proves true the saying about a picture being worth a thousand words. My first thought is 'wow, I wasn't always fat!' This is when I was in 8th grade.

The guitar is my first good guitar, obviously my parents bought this for me. I was a huge George Thorogood fan and had to have a guitar like his. Little did I know that I had to specify that I wanted a cut away. That use to bother me, but now I really appreciate the guitar. One P-90 pickup at the neck and it is the thinner body. It also came with a really cool chipboard case that had a snake pattern.
